Professional rodeo cowboy Holt Warren prefers winning on the rodeo circuit to punching a time clock to earn his living. But when he literally crashes into western artist Chesney Lockwood, he finds himself in one heck of a fix. Not only does he owe her big bucks for a painting he accidentally destroyed, but the blond-haired filly is tempting his hormones and screwing up his focus to make the National Finals Rodeo in December. Somehow he’s got to kick Chesney out of his head, but that’s pretty hard to do when the woman is sharing the front seat of his truck, and sleeping just inches away in his camper bunk.
Chesney Lockwood is hell-bent on making her own way in the art world without her daddy’s financial backing, or a man dictating her every move. Things are looking good until sexy cowboy Holt Warren ruins one of her most expensive paintings. Within seconds she sees her profits plummeting, her rent going unpaid, and her vow to steer clear of cowboy temptation going south. And if that isn’t enough, a summer storm totals her minivan, leaving her stranded with no way to make the next art show. Desperate for a ride, Chesney agrees to Holt’s crazy I.O.U. to trade a lift in his truck for the money he owes her.
What starts out as a means to pay off a debt turns into a battle of the sexes for two solitary hearts determined to stay that way. But with every spin of the tires, Chesney and Holt discover goin’ down the road together not only makes for one hot ride, but just might lead to the ultimate romantic payoff. |
